Tanger

Dar Chal sits on a hillside above Tanger, with the bay and the Strait opening out in front of it. The house was rebuilt from the ground up and delivered in 2020, conceived without compromise for high-end holiday rental — an operation still running today, and one a buyer can take over from day one.

A titled plot of 891 m² carries 396 m² of built area and 250 m² of planted terraces. Six suites, a 40 m² sitting room, a separate dining room, a kitchen with breakfast room, and a 51 m² open-plan living, kitchen and dining space beside the pool house. The title deed is registered. In Morocco that is no small matter: it makes due diligence considerably simpler for a foreign buyer.

Zellige and encaustic tile floors, painted timber ceilings, carved doors, and a layered decorative scheme — pressed botanicals, majolica, stripes and prints — which is exactly why the house ended up in the magazines.
